Ingredients
Turkey carcass
1 Onion
1 Carrot
2 Stalks celery
1 Tsp. Ground pepper
8 Cups water
Equipment
Slow cooker
Colander
Storage bowl w/ lid
Instructions
- Break the turkey carcass into large pieces and place in slow cooker
- Chop the onion, carrot and celery and add to slow cooker
- Add water and pepper to slow cooker
- Cover and cook on low for 24 hours
- Set a colander over a large bowl
- Pour the contents of the slow cooker into the bowl through the colander
- Discard the contents of the colander
- Use the broth immediately or cover and store in the fridge or freezer
