Ingredients
4 lb. Chuck roast
Ground black pepper
1 cup Water
1 Onion, chopped
3 Carrots, cut in 1" pieces
3 Sweet potatoes, cubed
Equipment
10" (or larger) Skillet
Slow cooker
Instructions
Season the chuck roast with pepper as desired. In the skillet brown the chuck roast on all sides, a minute or two per side. Chop the onion. Wash and cut the carrots and sweet potatoes.
Set the meat in the slow cooker. Add water, onion, carrots and sweet potatoes. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.
